15 Fall Things To Do

To be honest, we sort of love every season. But there's something about Fall and the weather getting cooler, trees changing colors, pie and delicious smells everywhere, and just wanting to cozy up, that makes this one of our favorite times of the year.

Plus we just really like making lists. 15 Fall Things To Do:

  1. Paint your nails with deep reds or dark purple Fall colors.
  2. Go to a pumpkin patch and hand pick your own pumpkins (drink apple cider when you do this).
  3. Take an obnoxious number of pictures of leaves changing colors + selfies in your large knit scarves and sweaters (instagram your little heart out).
  4. Enjoy a morning at your local Farmer's Market (wear your favorite scarf + cute boots of course).
  5. BAKE a pumpkin pie. Yes, bake it yourself. I know, this was a tough one for us too.
  6. Buy new boots and try to make them last longer than one season.
  7. Do a Fall photoshoot. This one is fun to do with your best friends or loved ones for upcoming Holiday cards! Plus...the trees! Your pics will look amazing.
  8. Host a movie night and gather up snacks, apple cider, blankets, pillows and friends. Watch a classic, of course.
  9. Make pumpkin spice lip scrub: coconut oil + pumpkin pie spice + brown sugar.
  10. Decorate for Thanksgiving! (check out pinterest for inspiration, or wait for our next newsletter so you don't have to hunt for cute printables yourself)
  11.  Make a nice breakfast....eat it in bed.
  12. Watch the Thanksgiving Day parade!
  13. Turn off your phone + read a book or magazine by the fire.
  14. Black Friday: stay in your pjs + eat leftovers + shop online. Duh.
  15. Savor every minute of the best season there is, until Winter sets in.

XOXO

Officially Fall.

Fall is definitely one of our favorite seasons, we've come up with a list of suggestions for some fun Fall activities and styling suggestions. This year enjoy Fall by bringing back some old-school methods of relaxation. There’s something very romantic and wonderful about cozying up and reading a good book and drinking hot tea or cocoa.

STYLE:  Burgundy, charcoal, olive, and chestnut are fun hues to incorporate into your Fall wardrobe. Mustard is a good color to accent with, it pops through pieces like thick-knit scarves, beanies, flannels and cardigan sweaters. Now is the time to wear layer upon layer, so have fun with it! Band tees, cuffed corduroys, lace-up oxford boots (or converse if you're more of a sneaker girl), & a great leather jacket are a few of our all-time favorite fall staples.

MUSIC: Bring out the vinyl records! Hunt down a record store (they still exist), and pull a couple of albums you love. If you don’t own a record player, use the records as makeshift wall art or room decor.

FOOD:  For breakfast, try oatmeal with almonds, cashews, dried cranberries, and diced pear. Go apple picking and bake a pie from scratch! Hot beverages and Fall are perfect together, so go tea tasting and pick a few new flavors to fall in love with this year, or hunt down an awesome at-home pumpkin spice latte recipe.

FUN: After a summer spent outdoors, a little bit of cold weather and indoor-activities can be really enjoyable. Start by picking out a bunch of must-read books you've been meaning to check out. It’s nice to get lost in a book once in a while. Rainy days are a perfect excuse for lighting candles, heating up some cider, and digging into a good read. We definitely suggest journaling, doodling, sketching, and painting too. Snap photos of the bare trees, spooky fields, foggy roads, on your next autumn walk. Collect fallen leaves and dry out some flowers. Make an autumn inspiration journal! If you happen to stumble upon any large tree branches, bring them home, dip them in gold paint, and stick them in a cute vase!

XOXO
